Description

Lead the PMO function for a Core Banking Transformation Programme transitioning to a cloud-based architecture on Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on governance and reporting. You will establish and improve programme governance, planning, financial tracking, and RAID management while leading a small PMO team. Drive consistent, accurate workstream reporting and explore AI to automate and streamline programme reporting.

Responsibilities

• Establish and improve programme governance, processes, and reporting standards

• Manage a PMO team of approximately 2–4 people

• Oversee programme planning, financial tracking, recruitment, and resource management

• Implement RAID management (risks, issues, dependencies) with clear escalation

• Improve quality, consistency, and accuracy of workstream reporting

• Identify gaps and challenge workstream leads where reporting quality is poor

• Explore AI opportunities to automate and streamline programme reporting

• Add structure, accountability, and efficiency to internal processes

Requirements

• Proven experience as a PMO Lead in complex banking transformation programmes

• Strong knowledge of cloud-based architectures (Microsoft Azure)

• Ability to manage a PMO team effectively

• Experience with financial management and resource allocation in projects

• Familiarity with risk management methodologies

• Experience with AI tools for project reporting

• Background in AI-led processes or reverse-engineering projects

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for cloud migration

• Proficiency in Java or development knowledge (nice to have)
