Description

Design, build, and operate the AWS cloud foundation—networking and infrastructure tooling that all product teams rely on. Own edge and global connectivity components, write production automation services and CLI tooling (mostly Go), and ensure reliability, security, and operational excellence at scale. Troubleshoot complex distributed network issues and continuously optimize cloud infrastructure costs.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve edge infrastructure (CloudFront distributions, AWS Shield, WAF, CDN failover, latency-optimized routing)

• Build and maintain cloud platform automation services and CLI tooling (mostly in Go)

• Monitor and optimize AWS infrastructure costs

• Lead architecture decisions for cloud topology, multi-account governance, cross-region connectivity, and shared platform abstractions

• Collaborate with SRE, Security, and Platform teams to embed observability and compliance

• Troubleshoot distributed networking issues using deep TCP/IP knowledge

• Operate global partner/bank connectivity (IPSec/IKEv2 VPNs, Direct Connect, BGP routing)

• Participate in on-call rotation and occasional late syncs

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software, cloud, or infrastructure engineering with significant hands-on AWS depth

• Proficiency with distributed systems development and production operation (Go/Python or similar)

• Knowledge of cloud networking (VPC, subnetting, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, load balancing)

• Experience with edge infrastructure management (CloudFront, AWS Shield, WAF, CDN failover)

• Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform preferred)

• Cost optimization experience (AWS billing, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, right-sizing)

• Understanding of multi-account governance and organizational tooling (Kubernetes/EKS familiarity a plus)

Compensation (Poland)

Typical starting base salary: zł 320,000 – zł 360,000 per annum. Additional medical/financial benefits and total compensation components may apply.
