Description

Lead the AI-first Cloud Engineering organization responsible for cloud primitives, networking, and automation that power a global, always-on remittance platform. Own infrastructure-as-code strategy, drive FinOps and cost optimization, and design for multi-region resiliency using multi-cloud/hybrid and edge computing approaches. Stay hands-on by reviewing designs and code, joining incidents when needed, and partnering with Security, SRE, and Builder Experience to deliver a world-class self-service platform.

Responsibilities

• Champion an AI-first engineering culture by integrating AI agents, MCP tooling, and automated agentic systems into infrastructure operations

• Drive FinOps and cost optimization across cloud spend with finance and engineering stakeholders

• Own IaC strategy for reusable cloud infrastructure primitives and repeatable system patterns

• Architect for global presence and high resiliency using edge computing and multi-region, multi-cloud/hybrid strategies

• Lead and grow engineering teams across Krakow and the US; set technical vision and maintain high standards for automation and operational excellence

• Stay hands-on with design/code reviews, incident support, and architecture tradeoff decisions

• Partner with Security, SRE, and Builder Experience on shared infrastructure solutions for self-service builder outcomes

• Support network expansion initiatives including VPN setup and seamless network integration

• Own network strategy for edge computing, multi-account, and multi-region architectures

Compensation Details

Starting base salary range: zł 412,000 – 463,000 per annum (Poland).
