Description

You will lead the Cloud Engineering team responsible for the cloud primitives, networking, and automation that product teams build on. This role is hands-on and AI-first—driving the integration of AI agents and agentic workflows (including LLM integrations) into how cloud infrastructure is designed, built, and operated at scale. You’ll also set technical vision across teams in Krakow and the US while maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Champion an AI-first engineering culture and integrate AI agentic tooling and automated workflows into infrastructure management

• Drive FinOps and cloud cost optimization in partnership with finance and engineering

• Own infrastructure-as-code strategy and build reusable cloud primitives and repeatable patterns

• Architect for global presence and high resiliency using edge computing and multi-region/multi-cloud or hybrid strategies

• Lead and grow engineering teams across Krakow and the US; maintain a high bar for IaC, automation, and operations

• Stay hands-on: review designs and code, participate in incidents, and make architecture tradeoffs

• Partner with Security, SRE, and Builder Experience on shared infrastructure solutions for self-service

• Collaborate on network expansion and network integration (VPN setup, seamless connectivity)

• Own network strategy for edge computing, multi-account, and multi-region architectures

Requirements

• Experience leading multi-team engineering orgs distributed across countries and time zones, including hiring and developing managers

• Record of setting multi-year technical strategy for cloud infrastructure and translating it into roadmaps, OKRs, and headcount plans

• Strong long-horizon architecture judgment (account structure, multi-region, multi-cloud) at thousands of accounts

• Experience building self-service platforms that scale infrastructure without linear headcount growth

• Ownership of cloud spend as a business outcome, balancing cost, performance, and reliability with finance and leadership

• Comfortable operating as a working manager (coding, architecture reviews, deep technical problem solving)

• Clear written communication across geographies and functions

Compensation

Typical starting base salary range in Poland: zł 412,000 – 463,000 per annum.
