• Role: Senior DevOps Engineer

Description

You will own the reliability, scalability, and cost of production infrastructure for a real-time, multi-tenant platform on Azure and GCP.

Your work covers Kubernetes, cloud networking, CI/CD and GitOps tooling, stateful databases and streaming systems, capacity planning, incident response, and observability at scale.

You will also partner with backend and security teams on architecture and security, including SOC 2 / ISO 27001 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver infrastructure changes end-to-end for production environments

• Run and evolve multi-terabyte databases and data-streaming systems (capacity, replication, upgrades, recovery)

• Plan capacity ahead of growth and peak traffic periods

• Shape traffic flow through API gateway, service mesh, edge (CDN, WAF), and secure internal connectivity

• Respond to production incidents across the stack and turn learnings into lasting improvements

• Work with backend and security engineers on access control, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance

• Build and operate observability systems capable of handling very high log/metrics volume

Requirements

• In-depth Linux administration (systemd/services, process/resource limits, storage/filesystems, kernel tuning, troubleshooting CPU/memory/disk/network)

• Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, L4/L7 load balancing)

• Solid database fundamentals (SQL; internals such as WAL, replication, consistency, backup and recovery)

• Comfortable with Bash/Python for everyday scripting and operations

• Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly while building on solid fundamentals

• Comfortable working in English (written and spoken)
