Description

Senior DevOps Engineer to maintain and manage on-premise bare-metal infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters for production and test environments. The role focuses on reliability, monitoring/observability, CI/CD operations with GitLab, and automation for deployments, scaling, and configuration. You’ll also implement security updates, upgrades, and improvements while ensuring system continuity during changes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer on-premise/bare-metal infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters for production and test environments

• Ensure high availability, stability, and reliability of IT environments

• Monitor infrastructure, diagnose issues, and resolve technical incidents

• Collaborate with IT Operations for incident handling, Root Cause Analysis, and remediation actions

• Maintain and improve monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and SigNoz

• Maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines and support developers with daily application deployments

• Automate recurring operational tasks including deployments, scaling, and environment configuration (Ansible, Chef, scripts)

• Update systems, apply security patches, and perform necessary upgrades

• Identify areas for optimization and gradually implement infrastructure/operational improvements

• Ensure continuity of existing systems during changes

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, or software engineering

• Hands-on experience managing large-scale on-premise/bare-metal infrastructure

• Strong Linux/Unix systems administration experience (Debian and RPM-based systems)

• Hands-on Kubernetes cluster management in on-premise environments

• Strong knowledge of Docker

• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, SigNoz (or similar open-source tools)

• Practical CI/CD experience, especially GitLab

• Ability to write scripts to automate operational tasks

• Advanced troubleshooting for infrastructure and application deployment issues

• Independence, proactivity, and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment

• Ability to quickly learn complex systems even with limited technical documentation

• Ability to roll out changes incrementally without disrupting production systems

• Strong communication and effective collaboration with technical teams

• English proficiency at least B2
