• Role: Senior DevOps Engineer (DevSecOps platform)

Description

Build and run a high-autonomy DevSecOps platform that accelerates delivery, reduces technical debt, and supports mission-critical space systems. You will own CI/CD, observability, infrastructure automation, artifact/registry services, backup/restore and disaster recovery, and production Kubernetes clusters on premises.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the CI/CD platform and build fleet (capacity, reliability, autoscaling, upgrade cycles)
• Run the observability platform end to end (metrics, logs, traces, alert routing and escalation)
• Automate provisioning and host configuration with infrastructure managed as code
• Maintain artifact and registry layer (caching, retention, distribution policy)
• Own backup, restore, and disaster recovery for platform services; validate that they work
• Operate production Kubernetes clusters on premises
• Improve the platform by reducing toil and shortening feedback loops

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience running production infrastructure, with a background in both software engineering and operations
• Built platform capability from scratch (or close to it) and kept it running once real users and load arrived
• Hands-on ownership of a self-hosted CI/CD platform, including upgrades, runner/agent fleet operations, and load troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience running a self-hosted observability stack, plus real alerting practice (instrumentation, metric and log design, trusted alerts)
• Infrastructure as code mindset with declarative provisioning and configuration management
• Confident Linux systems engineering: networking, storage, systemd, TLS/PKI, performance and failure diagnosis
• Production Kubernetes experience, ideally on bare metal or on-prem clusters rather than managed cloud only
• Solid programming skills in at least one language: Python, Go, Java, C#, or C++
