Description

Remove burrs from manifolds using hand tools or automated/thermal deburring processes. You will review work instructions, perform manual deburring, set up and run a thermo deburring machine with required safety checks, inspect parts for damage/contamination, and stack finished product as directed.

Responsibilities

• Review work instructions for manifold and determine method of deburring
• Manually deburr manifold blocks using files, drills, scrapers, brushes, etc.
• Prepare thermo deburring machine for run (turn on gas, check connections, load program)
• Perform safety check on thermal deburring machine prior to operation
• Run preliminary job for verification
• Load/unload thermo deburring machine
• Use hand light to illuminate manifold cavities for hidden burrs
• Check completed manifolds for damage and contamination
• Stack finished product as directed on pallets or crates
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• US work authorization (indefinite U.S. authorization only; future sponsorship not available)
• Some mechanical aptitude
• Basic ability to read blueprints
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Ability to meet quality and entry level productivity standards
• Comfort working around machinery in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to stay on task for long periods; be at the workstation on time daily
• Low sensitivity to sawdust
• Physically able to lift/move up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods
• Ability to load/unload machines (repetitive lifting and bending)
