Description

Remove burrs from manifolds using hand tools and/or automated processes. Review work instructions to determine the deburring method, manually deburr components, and operate a thermo (thermal) deburring machine with safety checks, verification runs, and loading/unloading. Inspect finished manifolds for damage/contamination and stack products as directed.

Responsibilities

• Review work instructions for manifold and determine deburring method

• Manually deburr manifold blocks using files, drills, scrapers, brushes, etc.

• Prepare the thermo deburring machine (turn on gas, check connections, load program)

• Perform safety checks prior to operation

• Run a preliminary job for verification

• Load/unload the thermo deburring machine

• Use a hand light to illuminate manifold cavities for hidden burrs

• Check completed manifolds for damage and contamination

• Stack finished product as directed on pallets or crates

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• US work authorization (indefinite; future sponsorship not available)

• No prior experience required; 6 months manufacturing experience preferred

• Some mechanical aptitude

• Basic ability to read blueprints

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English

• Meet quality and entry-level productivity standards

• Comfort working around machinery in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to stay on task for long periods

• Ability to be at the workstation on time each day unless otherwise authorized

• Low sensitivity to sawdust

• Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods and to load/unload machines (repetitive lifting and bending)

Benefits

• Hourly pay range: $18–$20/hour (based on experience and job factors)
