Quick Facts

  • Role: Staff Product Manager, Shopping Experience

  • Focus: Own the end-to-end consumer discovery and shopping flow across the highest-traffic app surfaces (home, search, menu, collections, product details, cart/checkout).

Description

Own the consumer-facing surfaces that connect eaters with meals they’ll love, covering every screen from the moment a subscriber opens the app to order completion. Set the product vision and roadmap, ship high-impact features with Design and Engineering, and drive experimentation across discovery surfaces using rigorous metrics. Partner with Personalization & AI to translate intelligence capabilities into intuitive frontend experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own the discovery surface end-to-end across Home Screen, Search, Menu, Swimlanes, Collections, Product Tile & Detail, Cart & Checkout, and Core UI Components

  • Define a coherent discovery experience across web and mobile that scales with catalog complexity and evolving user needs

  • Manage a large, diverse surface area with competing priorities while maintaining coherence and momentum

  • Partner with Engineering and Design to build, iterate, and launch consumer features that improve meal discovery and selection

  • Own the product layer of the server-driven UI (SDUI) system and component architecture

  • Drive experimentation across discovery surfaces with rigorous metric frameworks

  • Elevate UX with Design to reduce friction, build confidence, and improve intuitiveness across every entry point

  • Own quality and consistency of core UI components (loading states, error screens, coachmarks, modals)

  • Maintain a high bar for mobile/web parity while enabling platform-native patterns where it matters

  • Work with the Sr. PM (Personalization & AI) to translate probabilistic, evolving inputs into clear surface-level decisions

  • Drive measurable business impact: improve conversion across browse surfaces, reduce checkout abandonment and cart-to-order friction, lift funnel CVR and weekly order frequency, and reduce subscriber churn

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including meaningful ownership of consumer-facing mobile and/or web surfaces at scale

  • Experience with discovery, browsing, search, or shopping experiences (ideally in marketplace or catalog-heavy products)

  • Strong UX instincts and a proven track record of close collaboration with design teams

  • Comfort with frontend product systems (component libraries, server-driven UI, feature flags) and ability to partner effectively with frontend engineers

  • Experience running A/B experiments, defining metrics, and making data-informed decisions in ambiguous situations

  • Excellent cross-functional communication and ability to influence design, engineering, and business stakeholders

  • Proven ability to manage a large roadmap across multiple surfaces simultaneously

Benefits

  • Compensation: Pay range $180,000—$220,000 USD (final rate determined by experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data)
