Description

Serve as Chief of Staff and principal operational adviser and management integrator for the Chief Medical Officer and Principal Deputy Chief Medical Officer. Translate leadership decisions into coordinated Bureau actions, assign/prioritize/track executive taskings, and manage Front Office workflows. Coordinate executive actions across Bureau programs, resources, and policy initiatives to advance executive priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assign, prioritize, and track executive taskings for CMO and Principal Deputy CMO

• Coordinate executive actions involving Bureau programs, resources, and policy initiatives

• Manage Front Office workflows

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance

• Subject to random drug testing

• Statement of Employment & Financial Interest required prior to appointment

• Meet time-in-grade and time-after-competitive-appointment requirements

• 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-14, including: analyzing challenges and recommending solutions aligned to organizational goals; developing policy guidance based on in-depth research of program issues; strengthening partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities

• Education does not substitute for specialized experience (GS-15)
