Description

Design and build scalable backend services with robust REST APIs for a pre-validated Quality Management System used by Life Sciences companies. Apply Domain-Driven Design and microservice patterns to keep services loosely coupled and aligned with business domains. Maintain services end-to-end, including CI/CD, monitoring, diagnostics, and maintenance, while using AI-assisted development daily.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services with robust REST APIs

• Use Domain-Driven Design and microservice patterns

• Write unit and integration tests for reliability in a regulated environment

• Own the full service lifecycle: CI/CD, monitoring, diagnostics, and maintenance

• Collaborate with UI, product, DevOps, and other engineers to deliver complete features

• Support junior developers via code reviews and knowledge sharing

• Help the team maximize AI-assisted development

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on backend software development

• Commercial experience with Go, or Go knowledge with strong Python or TypeScript skills and web/testing frameworks

• Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design and microservice architecture

• Strong REST API design and implementation; GraphQL or gRPC experience is a plus

• Experience with Kafka, MQTT, or SQS and understanding of message bus/queue concepts

• Understanding of UI/backend decoupling patterns such as CQRS or BFF, and frontend patterns like MVVM/MVI

• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar) and at least one NoSQL store (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or similar)

• Hands-on Docker and Docker Compose; basic Kubernetes familiarity; AWS/Azure/GCP experience

• CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar) and experience with logging, distributed tracing, and monitoring

• Strong unit and integration testing skills, including mocking strategies and secure failsafe coding

• Daily use of AI tools as part of development workflow

• Very good written and spoken English

• Valid EU work permit
