Description

Provide therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures and assessments for patients with respiratory insufficiencies or abnormalities. Implement the patient’s plan of care based on diagnosis and physician orders, with timely monitoring and effective communication. Follow all applicable regulations and policies to protect privacy and safety; may perform specific procedures and orient other staff.

Requirements

• Graduate of a two-year respiratory care program accredited by CoARC (may be evidenced by RCP/RRT/CRT license)
• Licensure/certification: RCP or RRT or CRT
• BLS (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
• Department-required certifications: NRP if required; ACLS if required; PALS if required
• 2 years of recent relevant experience
