Description

Provide advanced primary and specialty care to urgent care patients, including physical exams, medical history documentation, care planning, and diagnostic test administration. Examine, diagnose, and treat a variety of conditions in general practice, ordering lab tests and diagnostic imaging as needed. Document patient information, prescribe/administer treatments, vaccinate patients, and coordinate specialist referrals when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients

• Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information

• Document past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, medications, allergies, and assessment/plan

• Order or execute tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging

• Analyze test and exam reports to diagnose conditions

• Administer or prescribe treatments

• Order lab and imaging tests to support an immediate treatment plan

• Vaccinate patients to immunize against communicable diseases

• Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention

• Consult appropriate medical specialists and refer within the network when needed

• Provide care to patients in a nursing home

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a Nurse Practitioner program (Family or Adult Geriatrics)

• Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license

• National Board Certification (AANP, ANCC, or ONCC)

• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus

• EMR/EHR experience is a plus

Benefits

• Salary: $110,000–$145,000
