Description

This orthopedic surgeon role supports a broad-spectrum general orthopedics practice with dedicated OR block time. The practice mix is approximately 40% surgery / 60% clinic, with minimal surgical backlog and many referrals coming from outside the health system.

Responsibilities

• Perform orthopedic surgeries using dedicated OR time
• Provide clinic-based general orthopedic care
• Manage operative and non-operative fracture care
• Deliver care for a broad set of adult orthopedic conditions

Requirements

• Comfortable practicing general orthopedics across a broad range of conditions
• Comfortable providing general orthopedic operative fracture care despite no dedicated orthopedic trauma service
• Values long-term patient relationships and community engagement in a rural setting
• Subspecialty training acceptable if able to practice general orthopedics
• J-1 or H-1B visa eligibility considered
• New graduates encouraged if confident managing a general orthopedic practice
