Description

Provide direct, patient-centered, evidence-based psychiatric care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team. You will assess referred patients, deliver and recommend evidence-based treatments, coordinate care, and maintain timely clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients referred by Primary Care Providers (PCPs) using evidence-based assessment tools

• Treat behavioral health conditions using evidence-based approaches including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, crisis intervention, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and behavioral activation

• Make treatment recommendations and refer patients to a psychiatrist as deemed appropriate

• Monitor client treatment through review of clinical documentation and coordination of care with other providers and health homes

• Provide crisis intervention services and perform risk assessment as needed

• Engage clients with limited utilization of behavioral health services through outreach efforts

• Document services in a timely fashion

Requirements

• Doctoral Degree in clinical or counseling psychiatry (Ph.D./PsyD)

• Current NYS registration as a psychologist

• Ability to work 25+ hours per week

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
