Description

Provide advanced primary and/or specialty care to patients during an overnight 12-hour shift. You will examine, diagnose, and treat patients, document accurate medical histories and assessments, and create care plans. You will also order and interpret diagnostic tests and administer or prescribe treatments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information
• Document past/family/social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment, and plan
• Order or execute tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging
• Analyze test and exam findings to diagnose conditions
• Administer or prescribe treatments
• Order lab and imaging tests to guide immediate treatment plans
• Vaccinate patients
• Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Consult specialists when necessary and refer within the network

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner program (Family, Adult, Women’s Health, Hem/Onc, or Psych)
• Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license
• National Board Certification (AANP or ANCC; Oncology certification also listed)
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus
• EMR/EHR experience is a plus
• New graduate Nurse Practitioners are encouraged to apply
