Description

Provide patient-centered care as a Nurse Practitioner in a collaborative environment. You will examine, diagnose, treat, and manage patients, including ordering and interpreting tests, documenting clinical information, and prescribing or administering treatments (including vaccinations). The role spans multiple practice areas such as women’s health, house calls, urgent care, primary care, dermatology, gynecology, and pain management.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients

• Maintain the quality-of-care commitment and standards

• Diagnose and treat a variety of conditions in general practice

• Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information

• Document medical, family, and social history; review of systems; examinations; medications; allergies; assessment and plan

• Order or execute tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging

• Analyze test reports and examination findings to diagnose conditions

• Administer or prescribe treatments

• Order lab and imaging tests to support immediate treatment plans

• Vaccinate patients to immunize against communicable diseases

• Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention

• Consult specialists when necessary; refer patients within the network

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program (Family or Adult Geriatrics)

• Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license

• National Board Certification via AANP or ANCC (also lists ONCC)

• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus

• EMR/EHR experience is a plus
