Description

Provide advanced primary and/or specialty care to patients. Perform physical exams, record medical history, develop care plans, order diagnostic tests, analyze results, diagnose conditions, and prescribe or administer treatments.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information
• Document past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, and assessment/plan
• Order or execute diagnostic tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging
• Analyze test and exam findings to diagnose conditions
• Administer or prescribe treatments and manage immediate care plans
• Order lab and imaging tests to support treatment decisions
• Vaccinate patients to immunize against communicable diseases
• Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Consult appropriate specialists and refer patients within the network when necessary

Requirements

• Master’s degree in an NP program (Family, Adult, Women’s Health, Hemo/Onc, or Psychiatric)
• Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license
• National Board Certification (AANP or ANCC; oncology certification where applicable)
• Board-certified to practice in the applicable specialty
• New graduates encouraged to apply
