Description

The ENT specialist/otolaryngologist provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for diseases and disorders involving the ears, nose, throat, and related head-and-neck structures. The role treats patients of all ages and addresses both clinical conditions and surgical needs, working in collaboration with other practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Treat conditions of the ears, upper pharynx, and oral cavity, larynx, nose, face, and neck

• Treat nosebleeds, tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, infected mastoids, and sinusitis

• Assist patients with a limited or altered sense of smell

• Treat tumors in the head or neck and patients with defects in the ear, nose, or throat

• Collaborate with other medical practitioners

Requirements

• Medical degree in the state of New York

• Completed otolaryngology residency

• Medical license

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

• Perfect vision and visuospatial awareness

• Good organizational ability

• Ability to work well alone and within a team

• Good interpersonal skills
