Description

Join a digital transformation program to create a modern platform for handling the insurance claims liquidation process. You will combine hands-on Java development with responsibility for the technical direction, including architectural decisions for a microservices-based system. The role emphasizes high-quality engineering practices and building for performance, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Act as Tech Lead within a Scrum team: technical direction, architecture decisions, and team support
• Actively develop business requirements using Java
• Design and evolve system and microservices architecture
• Collaborate with Product Owner and business to refine requirements into technical solutions
• Define and enforce technical standards (coding, architecture, integrations)
• Lead code reviews; ensure code quality and solid solution design
• Mentor developers and grow team competencies
• Support the team in solving technical problems
• Design and oversee system integrations and APIs
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability
• Coordinate with other teams and participate in technology decision-making and risk assessment
• Use cloud solutions (preferably Azure) and incorporate Agentic AI / AI into the development process

Requirements

• Multi-year experience designing and building Java web systems
• Active hands-on coding
• Experience building and developing microservice architecture and distributed systems
• Knowledge of architectural and integration patterns
• Experience designing APIs and integrating event-driven solutions (Event-Driven Architecture)
• Practical Domain-Driven Design (DDD) experience
• Experience with relational databases and query optimization
• Hands-on observability design and implementation experience
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience leading a technical team: code review, mentoring, co-creating technical decisions, assessing risks
• English proficiency at least B2
