Description

You will take long-term responsibility for the control plane within ApeiroRA Lifecycle Management. The work includes designing operator architecture, API extensions (including CRDs, aggregated APIs, and webhooks), and cross-cluster coordination with proper state management. You will also work with Go production services and controller-runtime–based reconcilers/CRDs, integrating Terraform providers and legacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction for the control plane

• Architect operator components and API extension mechanisms

• Coordinate across clusters and implement state management

• Own architectural decisions (documenting, e.g., via ADRs) and mentor engineers

• Work with production Go services, CLI tools, reconcilers, and controller-runtime components

• Integrate Terraform providers and support legacy systems

Requirements

• Meet all Mid Level requirements: Go, controller-runtime, Linux, Terraform provider model integration, and legacy systems

• Expert experience with Kubernetes operator patterns and API extension frameworks

• Documented experience with multi-cluster control plane and cross-cluster work

• Track record of making and defending architectural trade-offs for platform components

• Ability to set technical direction and communicate it to engineers and stakeholders

• English level B2–C1 for smooth international communication

• Availability ASAP; up to 1 month notice (effective end of month)
