Description

Senior Backend Engineer role focused on migrating core Java and Go backend services from x86 to ARM processors on AWS Graviton / Azure Cobalt. You will refactor and optimize services, analyze performance bottlenecks, and deploy and scale workloads on Kubernetes (EKS). The role also covers CI/CD delivery and infrastructure automation using Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Refactor, optimize, and migrate core Java and Go services to run efficiently on ARM CPU architectures

• Analyze performance bottlenecks and hardware-level instruction behavior during x86 to ARM migration

• Work with Kubernetes (EKS) to deploy, monitor, and scale migrated workloads in enterprise environments

• Ensure seamless CI/CD delivery pipelines and infrastructure automation using Terraform and AWS services

• Collaborate closely with cloud architecture and platform security teams across global time zones

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building scalable services in Java and/or Go

• Practical experience with AWS (EKS, EC2) and Kubernetes

• Good understanding of CPU architectures (x86 vs. ARM) and performance tuning for cloud-native applications

• Working knowledge of Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD automation

• Openness to occasional pre-scheduled evening calls (17:00–21:00 CET) to sync with US-based stakeholders
