Description

Build Java services and RESTful APIs using microservices architecture patterns for enterprise-scale applications. Translate functional specifications into program specifications, collaborate with business stakeholders on product delivery and UAT, and contribute to testing and documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new business solutions as part of a business-facing IT team
• Review functional specifications and translate them into program specifications
• Work with end users for user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide 3rd line support as required
• Build expertise in best-practice solution design and implementation
• Comply with code and documentation standards, including peer reviews
• Collaborate daily with the Business Product Owner and business users
• Implement Java services and RESTful APIs using micro-services architecture patterns
• Manage time across multiple projects with competing priorities
• Contribute to testing and documentation throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience with strong background in Test-Driven Development
• Java 8+; Spring Boot; Spring MVC
• RESTful API implementation; GraphQL; open-source frameworks
• Cloud development with AWS; AWS CloudFormation; CI/CD pipelines
• Build/deployment/testing/logging/monitoring tools: Maven; Cucumber; Bamboo
• Familiarity with Git/Bitbucket and Splunk
• Investment management domain knowledge and strong analytical/problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with business managers and operations teams under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of agile software development processes and practices
• English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
