Description

Design and build next-generation business applications by refining user requirements and removing ambiguity while delivering sustainable solutions across the full Java stack.

You will collaborate with team members, software architects, and third-party providers, participate in application architecture and SDLC, and ensure operational controls for moves from test to production.

Conduct code reviews, testing, and provide technical recommendations to support and enhance existing applications and new initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology solutions that address business problems in financial services
• Design, plan, and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages
• Analyze business requirements
• Collaborate with team members, software architects, and third-party providers to drive delivery
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations for new software projects and initiatives
• Conduct code reviews and test software as needed
• Participate in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
• Ensure proper operational controls and procedures for moves from test to production

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with Java
• Understanding of modern web application development across the entire technology stack (Java backend and web-based frontend)
• Expertise in Java and associated frameworks such as Spring, JPA, and Hibernate
• Knowledge of frontend technologies such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Angular, and React
• Familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL DB, and PL/SQL
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka) and cloud technology (preferably Azure)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, GitLab, and Jenkins; Ansible playbooks; Linux; and shell scripts
• Ability to convey technical ideas and concepts to all audiences and challenge effectively
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
