Description

Design and build data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric, including ingestion, transformations, and data modeling across multiple sources. Own the semantic model and Power BI reporting, and help define KPI-driven business value for AI adoption. Enable conversational data access via Fabric Data Agents, Copilot in Power BI, or a custom LLM-based solution, ensuring reliable responses through testing and validation.

Responsibilities

• Build Microsoft Fabric data flows (ingestion, transformations, data modeling) from multiple sources
• Develop the semantic model and Power BI reports
• Define AI adoption and business value KPIs with business stakeholders
• Implement conversational access to data based on the semantic model (e.g., Fabric Data Agent, Copilot in Power BI, or custom LLM solution)
• Ensure reliable answers using test question sets, accuracy validation, and clear boundaries for what the solution can handle

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience
• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience (Lakehouse/Warehouse, pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, notebooks)
• Very good knowledge of Power BI (data modeling, DAX, semantic models)
• Good SQL skills and experience with Python or PySpark
• Experience integrating data from multiple sources (APIs, files, databases, SaaS platforms)
• Experience with or strong interest in GenAI solutions for data (text-to-SQL/DAX, Fabric Data Agents, Copilot) including basic prompt engineering and LLM response quality evaluation
• Confidence communicating with business stakeholders and independently clarifying unclear requirements
• Ability to think in terms of KPIs and business value
• Proactive and independent approach
• Fluent English for working with a US-based client
