Description

You will administer and monitor the company’s IT infrastructure, with a focus on VMware vSphere, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, and Windows Server/Active Directory. The role includes ensuring high availability and capacity planning, maintaining backup and disaster-recovery concepts with regular recovery tests, and improving security through patch management and hardening. You also provide troubleshooting across 1st–3rd level support and participate in infrastructure projects with external IT partners.

Responsibilities

• Administration, configuration, and monitoring of VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter), including HA (DRS, vMotion) and capacity planning
• Support and further development of the Citrix infrastructure (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops), including app delivery via PVS/MCS and management of Citrix StoreFront
• Install and manage thin clients
• Install, configure, and manage patching for the Windows Server landscape, focusing on Windows Server 2022/2025
• Administer Active Directory including GPO management, DNS, DHCP, NTFS permissions, trusts, and AD certificate services (ADCS)
• Design, implement, and monitor backup and disaster-recovery strategies, including regular recovery tests
• Secure the infrastructure by integrating and maintaining modern security solutions (e.g., endpoint protection), performing patch management and system hardening per established standards
• Internal certificate management
• 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-level troubleshooting and system monitoring
• Contribute to IT infrastructure projects with IT partners

Requirements

• Completed training in system integration, a degree in computer science/business informatics, or comparable qualification with several years of relevant experience
• Strong hands-on Windows Server administration and Active Directory knowledge (GPOs, DNS, DHCP, NTFS permissions)
• Secure command of VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, VM creation, storage/network connectivity)
• Advanced to very good experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Citrix user support
• Solid experience with security and backup solutions and strong understanding of security concepts (encryption, rights models, patch processes)
• Preferred: PowerShell knowledge for automating administrative tasks
• High on-site presence and time flexibility
