Description

You will install, configure, and maintain hardware and software in a Windows client/server environment. The role includes monitoring and improving IT security, implementing anti-virus and threat-prevention measures, optimizing performance and resources, managing backups, and administering users and permissions. You will also support and maintain specialist applications and handle IT incidents in 1st- and 2nd-level support.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software

• Monitor, optimize, and expand IT security

• Implement measures for virus and threat protection

• Maintain systems, including resource monitoring and performance optimization

• Manage backup operations, monitoring, and continuous improvement

• Administer users and permissions in the IT infrastructure

• Install, maintain, and support domain/specialist applications

• Analyze, accept, and resolve IT incidents in 1st- and 2nd-level support

Requirements

• Completed IT training, IT degree, or comparable qualification

• At least 2 years of professional experience

• Solid knowledge of Windows client and server environments and virtualization (e.g., VMware)

• Knowledge of Windows 365 Admin Center (advantage)

• Experience with software deployment, system administration, and basic IT security

• Very good German and English skills (written and spoken)

• Structured, independent, and reliable working style

• Strong service and problem-solving orientation and analytical thinking
