Description

Lead the development of a modern Python-based data platform framework using Hexagonal (Ports & Adapters) architecture. You will design clean interfaces, adapter/plugin architecture, Dependency Injection mechanisms, and build reusable Python libraries and adapters integrating multiple data and platform components. The framework will be modular and tool-agnostic to support different CI/CD, workflow orchestration, and runtime modes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Hexagonal (Ports & Adapters) architecture

• Create clean interfaces, adapter/plugin architecture, and Dependency Injection mechanisms

• Build high-quality Python libraries and adapters integrating various technologies and tools

• Develop integrations including data warehouses, data catalogs, observability tools, data transformations, database migrations, and access control

• Design and implement secure Secrets Management mechanisms

• Own CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and container-based runtime environments

• Define engineering standards, coding best practices, and code quality rules

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support for a 3-person developers team

• Take responsibility for an existing complex Python codebase and stabilize and evolve it

• Collaborate with architects and Product Owners to define the technical direction and roadmap
