Description

Design, implement, and develop backend functionality in Python, including building and optimizing microservices that handle communication between devices and backend services. Diagnose and resolve connectivity problems such as latency, TCP connection drops, and communication stability. Maintain and develop communication infrastructure using MQTT, and integrate with external client systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve Python backend features

• Develop and optimize high-performance microservices for device-to-backend communication

• Troubleshoot TCP/IP connectivity issues and reliability

• Maintain and improve MQTT-based communication infrastructure

• Integrate solutions with external client systems

• Ensure high code quality via tests, code reviews, and engineering best practices

• Collaborate with the Tech Lead and the Android team on solution development and integration

Requirements

• 4–5+ years of commercial backend development experience

• Practical experience in distributed or cloud system design

• Very good Python knowledge and one of: FastAPI, Django, Flask

• Very good relational and non-relational database knowledge, especially MySQL and Redis

• Good MQTT knowledge (QoS, message retention, broker configuration) with Mosquitto/HiveMQ/EMQX

• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, load balancing)

• Knowledge of Docker and Git

• Experience with cloud environments: AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Higher technical education (preferably IT/CS or related)

• English at least B2

• Optional: IoT experience and solutions using wearable devices

• Willingness to work hybrid with 3 office days per week
