Description

Own the end-to-end programme delivery for a legacy enterprise data warehouse migration in the insurance domain. The programme replaces a system feeding financial, actuarial and regulatory reporting with a cloud data platform across many source systems, hundreds of reports and multiple workstreams. Regulatory reporting continuity is critical while the migration runs, and you are accountable for scope, plan, budget, risk, quality, vendors and the client relationship up to the steering committee.

Responsibilities

• Own the programme end to end: mobilisation, discovery and assessment, migration waves, parallel run, cut-over, decommissioning and hypercare
• Structure and run workstreams via leads (platform build, data migration, ETL/ELT re-engineering, reporting and BI migration, data quality & reconciliation, governance, change and adoption)
• Own budget and the business case (estimates, estimate-at-completion, vendor and licence costs, cloud consumption) and present trade-offs to the steering committee
• Run programme governance: steering committees, status and risk reporting, RAID log, change control and decision log; escalate issues early with options
• Protect reporting continuity by planning migration waves around financial close and regulatory cycles (Solvency II, IFRS 17) and defining reconciliation/sign-off criteria with Finance, Actuarial and Risk
• Manage vendors and system integrators (contracts, SOWs, deliverable acceptance, performance, escalation) and coordinate client data/IT/security/compliance teams
• Partner with lead architect and data engineering on technical approach (Databricks, Snowflake or similar on Azure/AWS), migration tooling and environment strategy
• Embed regulatory and security requirements from day one (GDPR, DORA, outsourcing and cloud notification, data residency, audit)
• Lead change and adoption for report consumers, analysts and actuaries, including training and decommissioning of the legacy warehouse

Requirements

• 10+ years in IT delivery
• 5+ years as a programme manager accountable for multi-workstream programmes with multi-million budgets and teams of 30+
• At least one end-to-end data warehouse/data platform migration (legacy EDW to cloud data platform) including parallel run, reconciliation and decommissioning
• Insurance experience covering policy administration, claims, reinsurance, finance and actuarial reporting and the reporting calendar (financial close, Solvency II, IFRS 17)
• Technical fluency to engage in architecture discussions (lakehouse vs warehouse, ELT pipelines, data modelling, reconciliation) and challenge plans/estimates
• Programme management toolkit (integrated planning/estimation with EAC tracking, RAID management, change control, benefits tracking, dependency management)
• Vendor and contract management experience (SOWs, acceptance, performance management, escalation)
• Working knowledge of Polish financial-services cloud regulatory requirements (GDPR, DORA, outsourcing and cloud notification)
• Executive-level communication including steering committee management and early escalation with options
• Full professional fluency in Polish and English
