Description

Join a team building high-performance, data-intensive systems in a fast-paced financial environment. You will design and develop Java-based backend services, scalable RESTful APIs, and reactive, event-driven solutions that operate at global scale. Work is delivered collaboratively with globally distributed teams within an Agile Scrum framework.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based backend services and applications

• Build and enhance scalable RESTful APIs serving critical business functions

• Implement reactive, event-driven solutions for high-throughput data processing

• Work with NoSQL databases to manage and query large-scale datasets

• Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability

• Collaborate with globally distributed, cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design for scalability and performance

• Operate within an Agile Scrum framework, delivering iteratively with continuous feedback

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience

• Strong Java development experience, with a focus on Java 8 & 9

• Experience with NoSQL databases, ideally MongoDB

• Experience implementing REST APIs, ideally with JAX-RS

• Experience with Reactive Programming, ideally RxJava

• Solid experience implementing unit tests

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good English communication skills for collaboration

Nice to Have

• Experience developing applications in fintech or established financial institutions

• Experience with microservice architectures

• Experience developing systems that can scale to large amounts of data

• Experience working in Agile Scrum

• Experience working on a globally distributed team
