Description

You will operate and evolve a compute platform built on OpenStack, with an emphasis on reliability, automation, and virtualization performance. Responsibilities include maintaining OpenStack services, running and improving the virtualization layer (KVM/QEMU/libvirt), and troubleshooting issues in OpenStack Nova and the hypervisor. You will collaborate with the Bare-Metal team on hypervisor OS image and kernel changes needed for the stack.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update OpenStack and its associated services
• Operate and further develop the virtualization layer using KVM, QEMU, and libvirt to ensure stability and performance for all workloads
• Analyze and fix errors in OpenStack Nova and the hypervisor via incident investigations and upstream or internal bug fixes
• Work with the Bare-Metal team on hypervisor OS image and kernel changes required for the virtualization layer

Requirements

• Solid experience with OpenStack in a production environment
• Strong knowledge of Linux virtualization with KVM, QEMU, and libvirt
• Practical experience operating infrastructure at large scale, focusing on reliability and automation
• Willingness to work close to hardware; knowledge of kernel behavior, hypervisor internals, and low-level debugging
• Team orientation and ability to see the big picture
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
