Description

You will operate and continuously improve Linux-based server infrastructure and take ownership of central services in a Private Cloud. You will administer virtualized customer environments using KVM/QEMU/Libvirt and Open vSwitch, and evolve infrastructure with Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL), Ansible, and modern backup and recovery solutions such as Veeam. You will also manage Windows environments (Active Directory, DNS, GPOs, Microsoft 365, Azure), help develop hardening and security concepts, and support 2nd/3rd-level incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Operate and further develop Linux and server infrastructure; own central Private Cloud services
• Manage virtualized customer environments with KVM, QEMU, Libvirt, and Open vSwitch; ensure stable, high-performance operations
• Develop and automate infrastructure using Linux, Ubuntu Linux, RHEL, Ansible, and backup/recovery solutions such as Veeam
• Support Windows environments: Active Directory, DNS, GPOs, Microsoft 365, and Azure; develop security hardening concepts and assist 2nd/3rd-level support
• Drive standardization, automation, and disaster recovery concepts; find sustainable solutions during complex incidents

Requirements

• Multi-year experience as a Systems Engineer in heterogeneous environments with a focus on Linux
• In-depth knowledge of KVM, QEMU, Libvirt, and Open vSwitch
• Solid Linux knowledge, especially Ubuntu Linux and RHEL, plus Ansible and standard Linux services
• Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing
• Experience with Windows environments, including Active Directory (AD), DNS, GPOs, Microsoft 365, and Azure
• Analytical, structured working approach; ability to develop sustainable solutions
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and confident handling of complex situations
