Description

You will develop and maintain features for STACKIT compute products, including capabilities for generic servers, GPU servers, and confidential computing. The role includes optimizing virtual machine performance (including live migration), introducing new machine types, and expanding the compute product portfolio. You will also contribute to open-source projects such as OpenStack and YAOOK and adapt virtualization technologies when needed.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain compute product features for generic servers, GPU servers, and confidential computing

• Contribute to open-source (e.g., OpenStack, YAOOK) and adjust virtualization technologies to enable product features

• Optimize virtual machine performance, including live migration

• Introduce new generations of machine types and expand the compute product portfolio

• Evaluate and integrate GPU and confidential-computing technologies

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Go (Golang) and Python

• Proven experience with OpenStack in production operations

• Deep understanding of Linux virtualization with KVM, QEMU, and libvirt

• Experience operating large-scale infrastructure with a focus on reliability and automation

• Comfort working close to hardware (kernel behavior, hypervisor internals, low-level debugging)
