  • Establish and evolve operational processes, documentation, and operational know-how for ongoing production operations

  • Design and extend Kubernetes/STACKIT SKE environments: cluster structure, namespace and authorization concepts, Ingress/load balancing, resource concepts, secrets management, and GitOps-based deployments

  • Automate deployment and operational processes using CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps (e.g., Terraform, Argo CD)

  • Ensure platform stability via monitoring, logging, and alerting

  • Coordinate incident management and provide technical support

  • Help implement security and compliance requirements, especially IAM/RBAC and DSGVO, ISO 27001, and C5

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating and building Kubernetes platforms, ideally managed Kubernetes (STACKIT SKE, AKS, EKS, GKE, or OpenShift)

  • Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, container technologies, automated deployments, and Infrastructure as Code/GitOps (e.g., Terraform, Argo CD, Helm, Kustomize)

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting; experience running platform or data services such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB is preferred

  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes/cloud security: IAM/RBAC, Network Policies, secrets management, TLS/certificates, container/image security, audit logging, least-privilege

  • Structured troubleshooting skills for complex cloud and Kubernetes setups; collaboration experience with internal teams and external partners

  • Independent, solution-oriented approach and willingness to shape and improve operational standards

  • Very good German and good English skills (oral and written)
