Description

You will modernize existing Java applications and improve their technical quality, security, and sustainability. The work includes evaluating security scan results, updating libraries and dependencies, and executing larger migrations (e.g., Java 8/11 → 17/21, Spring Boot 2 → 3, Hibernate 5 → 6). You will also integrate code quality and security tools into CI/CD pipelines and support teams with shared standards and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Review Black Duck security scan findings and prioritize CVE remediation
• Perform minor/patch updates and manage transitive dependency updates
• Drive major migration initiatives (Java and framework/library upgrades)
• Address SonarQube findings: bugs, vulnerabilities, and security hotspots
• Reduce technical debt based on severity and impact
• Increase automated test coverage to enable safer updates
• Configure and maintain SonarQube Quality Gates and Quality Profiles
• Integrate SonarQube and Black Duck into CI/CD pipelines
• Automate dependency updates with Renovate or Dependabot
• Use OpenRewrite for technology migration automation
• Collaborate with engineering teams and project managers to plan updates and define quality/security standards
