Description

Lead the direction of information and cyber security in a regulated FinTech environment and ensure security supports business and product growth. You will build security from scratch, manage security risks and incidents, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards. You will also develop the information security team and provide clear security risk visibility and priorities to company leadership.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction for information and cyber security

• Build a security environment that meets requirements of a modern financial institution

• Manage security risks, incidents, and key protective measures

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards

• Partner with technology teams to develop products and services securely

• Provide leadership with clear visibility of security risks and priorities

• Develop the information security team and drive security across the organization

Requirements

• Experience managing information security and/or cyber security, ideally in a regulated financial institution

• Experience building security programs for modern financial institutions (or knowledge from cryptoassets)

• Ability to build from the ground up and participate in key decisions

• Knowledge and alignment with Zero Trust, Least Privilege, and DevSecOps principles

• Experience managing security risks, incidents, crises, and/or audit findings

• Ability to work with security metrics and report risks clearly to management

• Strong decision-making, priority setting, and ownership mindset

• Ability to conduct professional discussions with technical teams, management, auditors, regulators, and external suppliers

• Clear, understandable communication and ability to advocate security as a natural part of operations
