Description

You lead end-to-end delivery of engineering teams, owning scope, timelines, quality, and outcomes while managing staffing, delivery environments, risk, and stakeholder communication. As a technologist and former technical leader, you design solutions within your team’s scope, dive to code level when needed, and drive CI/CD, quality, and methodology choices. You also lead the shift to an AI-powered SDLC by evaluating GenAI tools, adopting AI practices across coding/testing/project management, and building AI agents to automate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery (project, sub-project, or stream) including scope, timelines, quality, and outcomes
• Own staffing and composition: define roles/skills, interview candidates, assess seniority
• Set up/take over delivery environment: tooling, environments, CI/CD, and team process/ceremonies
• Plan and estimate effort; schedule delivery; track milestones and support budgets with senior leadership
• Establish team-level delivery governance: delivery reviews, health checks, reporting, escalation paths
• Drive data-driven delivery with metrics across SDLC stages (scope, schedule, quality, productivity, team health)
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks (scope, schedule, budget, resources); run risk reviews and escalate early
• Make architecture decisions within team scope; justify trade-offs to functional and non-functional requirements
• Translate architecture into detailed implementation plans; suggest solution-design improvements
• Dive deep into problem areas down to the code level and support the team in resolving issues
• Design and continuously improve CI/CD; remove pipeline inefficiencies
• Design quality process across SDLC: coding standards, code review, static/dynamic analysis, refactoring, testing
• Choose and adapt delivery methodology (Scrum, Kanban, or other)
• Drive AI-powered SDLC adoption and measure its impact
• Build AI agents and skills to automate team workflows and improve efficiency
• Evaluate and select GenAI tools and platforms; explain benefits to team and stakeholders
• Contribute to AI-based solutions and GenAI offerings in client/presales conversations
• Own direct communication with client stakeholders on technical and delivery topics; handle conflicts
• Align team ways of working with the client’s domain, processes, and delivery practices
• Lead by example: coaching, feedback, performance management, and an inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to presales via estimations, architecture reviews, and documentation
• Share delivery best practices with the wider organization

Requirements

• 5+ years in IT with strong software engineering background, including 2+ years as Lead Developer, Team Lead, or Delivery Lead
• Proven track record managing delivery for teams of 5+ FTEs
• Ability to read and understand code and full-stack architecture; design and deliver solutions
• Working knowledge of architectural styles (n-tier, SOA, event-driven, microservices) and UML
• Ability to design for quality attributes (performance, scalability, security, maintainability) and justify trade-offs
• Advanced, hands-on CI/CD experience (designing pipelines from scratch and optimizing them)
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure (cloud certifications a plus)
• Advanced code quality practice (code review, static analysis, coding standards)
• Hands-on experience driving AI-assisted SDLC adoption
• Hands-on experience building AI agents and skills using LLM APIs and agent frameworks
• Solid project management practice (scope, estimation, planning, risk, quality, change management)
• Hands-on experience setting up and tailoring delivery metrics across SDLC stages and delivery aspects
• Experience establishing team-level delivery governance (cadences, reviews, reporting, escalation)
• Practical Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban) and ability to choose/tune a methodology
• Understanding of testing fundamentals
• Experience with direct client communication on technical topics and conflict resolution
• People leadership: coaching, feedback, performance management, interviewing
• Strong ownership, adaptability, and clear verbal/written communication
• English at B2 level or higher
