Description

The Engineering Practice Lead shapes and uplifts engineering practices across software, data, operations, and infrastructure teams. You partner with senior engineering leaders, HR/L&D, and workforce teams to strengthen engineering standards, communities of practice, and talent development. You use data and insights to measure capability improvement and transformation progress.

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering capability and talent development across multiple technology functions

• Assess skills gaps with engineering leaders and define capability uplift strategies

• Collaborate with HR and Learning & Development to design and enhance training programs

• Support engineering career frameworks, progression models, and learning pathways

• Improve engineering hiring quality using workforce planning and assessment frameworks

• Shape graduate, early careers, and leadership development programs

• Measure transformation progress and capability improvement using data and insights

• Contribute to engineering communities and initiatives that strengthen culture and engagement

• Influence senior stakeholders and promote best practices across engineering organizations

Requirements

• Engineering mindset with exposure to multiple technology stacks and experience in at least one discipline

• Experience delivering organizational, engineering, or technology transformation programs

• Background working within engineering, technology, software, infrastructure, or digital organizations

• Experience supporting learning, capability, talent, workforce, or people-focused initiatives across an engineering community

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

• Ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams and business areas

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
