Description

Lead and guide engineering teams to decompose complex systems into subsystems and components, manage requirements, and oversee verification/testing progress. You will create and maintain project schedules, make technical and strategic decisions to unblock issues, and apply agile methodologies to manage workflows. Ensure quality, compliance with defense standards, and reporting to stakeholders across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple sites
• Oversee system breakdown/decomposition into subsystems and components
• Create and maintain project schedules and execute plans
• Make technical and strategic decisions to resolve issues and drive progress
• Monitor quality and progress; apply agile methodologies to manage workflows
• Motivate team members and encourage innovation, accountability, and high performance
• Ensure compliance with defense industry standards and regulations
• Travel as needed to coordinate with teams, stakeholders, and clients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of systems engineering experience, focused on defense or automotive
• Proven expertise in system breakdown, requirements engineering, and testing
• Experience leading technical teams and managing projects across multiple sites
• Knowledge of agile methodologies; Scrum and SAFe knowledge beneficial
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Strong organizational skills and self-motivated work ethic
• Ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing project demands
• Strong communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with defense industry standards and practices
