Description

You will develop the Payload Data Ground System (PDGS) and a modern User Access Service (UAS), working at the intersection of high-performance backend pipelines and geospatial web delivery systems. The role includes designing automated ingestion & processing workflows for satellite payload streams and building high-availability STAC/REST (Search/Filter/Stream) APIs for Earth observation assets. You will contribute across the full lifecycle: design, prototyping, developing, maintaining, deploying, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for satellite payload ordering, reception, processing, archiving, and distribution
• Participate in the full lifecycle (design, prototyping, developing, maintaining)
• Implement automated workflows to convert raw payload data into standardized EO products (GeoTIFF, COG)
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, testable code
• Apply engineering fundamentals: documentation, version control, and team collaboration
• Identify and resolve bugs and issues
• Deploy and monitor developed systems

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience in Python and/or JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Java
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience
• Proven experience building web apps using Angular, React, or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI)
• Self-driven and able to work independently in a fully remote team environment
• Knowledge of clean code, unit testing, Git workflows, and CI/CD automation
• Comfort working with Linux (or ability to learn it)
