Description

Lead the design and implementation of Global Treasury Python-based modeling and automation solutions. Build containerized services and CI/CD automations, and deliver a reusable, robust coding environment for fast and agile model build and deployment. Partner with business stakeholders, Quantitative Analysts, and IT to support end-to-end design while meeting evolving business and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement Python-based modeling solutions for Global Treasury

• Support containerized solutions and CI/CD automation

• Deliver an easy-to-use, robust, fully re-usable coding environment

• Provide automated solutions for fast and agile model build and deployment

• Collaborate across business, Quantitative Analysts, and IT for end-to-end design and planning

• Implement software using best practices to address evolving business and regulatory requirements

• Ensure smooth change management and maintenance in compliance with HSBC Group standards

• Build software solutions that are practical, workable, and comply with accounting and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• 5+ years of relatable experience

• Extensive experience designing and building large-scale Python backend applications and systems (local and cloud), including developing new Python libraries from scratch

• Strong experience with Python API design/implementation and system integration (databases, storage, frontends)

• Experience building containerized solutions and CI/CD pipelines for end-to-end automations on cloud platforms (GCP, Docker)

• Preferably experience with Jenkins and GitHub integration

• Expert knowledge of at least three of: Python, FastAPI, Apache Airflow, S3, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker

• Experience writing/reviewing technical documentation and leading test-driven development

• Finance knowledge (quantitative finance; Risk or Analytics experience) is a plus
