Description

You will manage and continuously improve the organization’s IT infrastructure, including a Proxmox-based virtualization environment, Windows Server systems, an on-premises Exchange Server, and a Nextcloud server. You will handle system, network, user, and remote-access administration, support users for hardware and software issues, and maintain documentation. A key part of the role is ensuring IT security through backup/restore concepts (Veeam), patch management, monitoring, and antivirus solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the IT infrastructure
• Administer and further develop the Proxmox virtualization environment
• Install, configure, and administer Windows Servers
• Administer the Exchange Server (on-premises)
• Maintain and administer the Nextcloud Server
• Perform system, network, and user administration
• Install, configure, and maintain PCs, notebooks, and peripheral devices
• Provide user support for hardware and software problems
• Select, procure, and roll out hardware and software (with technical consultation)
• Ensure IT security via backup/restore concepts (Veeam), patch management, system monitoring, and antivirus solutions
• Administer and support the telephone software
• Manage users, permissions, and access rights
• Set up and administer remote-access connections
• Maintain hardware/software inventory and license management
• Create and maintain technical documentation, guides, and operating concepts
• Support assistive hardware and software for blind and visually impaired users
• Coordinate and work with external IT service providers

Requirements

• Completed vocational training in IT
• Ideally 3–5 years of experience as a network or IT administrator
• Good knowledge of server, network, and client administration
• Experience with virtualization, ideally Proxmox
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Exchange administration
• Knowledge of IT security, backup, and patch management
• Very good German and English skills
• Independent, structured, solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Enjoy working with people
• Sense of responsibility and willingness to take long-term responsibility
