Description

You will build, expand, and continuously improve the organization’s network infrastructure—covering LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, VLANs, and connections between sites. The role includes implementing and configuring network components, ensuring network availability and performance, analyzing bottlenecks, and implementing redundancy and failover. You will also investigate and resolve incidents and support IT security measures such as segmentation, firewall rules, access control, and secure remote access.

Responsibilities

• Expand and develop existing network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, VLANs, and site connections)
• Implement and configure network components
• Ensure network availability and performance through monitoring, bottleneck analysis, and redundancy/failover concepts
• Analyze and resolve network incidents
• Implement IT security measures: network segmentation, firewall rules, access control; operate VPNs and secure remote access
• Support project management activities (new site connections, network modernization, capacity expansion, and migrations)

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, or alternatively technical vocational training or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in network engineering
• Independent, structured, and reliable working style; interest in new technologies
• Strong solution and quality awareness and analytical thinking in dynamic, complex environments
• German: at least C2 (oral and written); English: at least B1 (oral and written)
