Description

Define the end-to-end product architecture and multi-year strategy for Personalized Data that enables Copilot to understand what matters to each person. Own platform contracts across personal activity signals, indexing/query behavior, latency/freshness, access control, evaluation/diagnostics, and extensibility across Copilot, search, connectors, and agentic experiences. Convert customer needs and system evidence into architectural decisions and measurable product outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Define product architecture and multi-year strategy across Personalized Impact, Personalized Context, and Personalized Content.

  • Translate customer feedback, jobs-to-be-done, and quality signals into platform requirements and measurable outcomes.

  • Establish platform contracts covering dependency/availability semantics, index/query behavior, latency, freshness, restrictions, and integrations.

  • Architect evaluation and measurement operating models (scenario-based evaluation, per-answer attribution, diagnostics, and test environments).

  • Lead architecture for a fresh, secure, fast, and predictable personalized index (isolation, capacity strategy, access-control freshness, runtime enforcement).

  • Drive extensibility across Copilot, Microsoft 365 search, Windows Search, connectors, and agentic orchestrators.

  • Partner with engineering, data science, applied research, security, privacy, compliance, and product teams on cross-layer tradeoffs.

  • Create decision frameworks and architecture narratives covering value, quality, cost, latency, reliability, trust, and ecosystem impact.
