Description

You will coordinate IT process workflows for workplace Internet services and client virtualization (VDI), ensuring secure, stable, and future-ready operations. You will take responsibility for lifecycle and product planning, assess dependencies across operating systems, endpoints, applications, networks, security, and backend systems, and prepare technology decisions. You will create and maintain technical concepts, documentation, and architecture materials while coordinating technical teams and interfacing with specialist departments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure process workflows and secure, stable, future-capable operation of the underlying process infrastructures; coordinate and lead the team in a technical capacity
• Own lifecycle and product planning for the deployed solutions; identify needs for action and initiate continuous improvement measures
• Analyze and evaluate dependencies among operating systems, endpoints, applications, networks, security, and backend systems
• Evaluate new technologies, products, and solution approaches; prepare and drive technology decisions
• Create and maintain concepts, technical documentation, decision papers, and architecture documents
• Initiate, plan, and manage projects
• Act as an interface between specialist departments, including problem management and operational measures and changes
• Monitor and optimize processes continuously to enable efficient communication and smooth IT operations
• Represent relevant topics in the overall organization and in cross-functional working groups and committees

Requirements

• Existing civil servant status in the natural sciences and technology career track (qualification level 3) with an appropriate focus (natural sciences, mathematics, computer science, or administrative informatics)
• In-depth knowledge of web browsers and browser-based technologies
• Experience with client virtualization / endpoint virtualization solutions
• Experience with planning, architecture, and further development of IT infrastructures
• Experience planning and executing IT projects
• Experience in technical leadership or coordination of technical teams
• Strong understanding of IT security requirements and their implementation
• Ability to create technical concepts, documentation, and decision submissions
• Independent, proactive, implementation-oriented working style with high responsibility
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Proficiency in German (spoken and written)
