Description

You will actively shape local IT infrastructure and work with Group IT and business functions to ensure reliable, secure, and future-ready IT operations. You will manage and improve enterprise IT operations, local application environments, and security-aligned architectures across Windows and Linux. You will also guide operational IT activities and support modernization and IT projects from requirements to implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, administer, and maintain local IT infrastructure and ensure reliable operations together with operational IT

  • Coordinate site requirements with Group-wide IT as the key interface and align solutions to group standards

  • Continuously develop server, virtualization, and network architectures considering different security zones and protection needs, including VS environments

  • Administer local software/application environments such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence, SAP, and related systems; coordinate changes, updates, and operational requirements

  • Implement applicable information security requirements, including ISMI requirements, in close collaboration with the information security officer and management

  • Support development teams in building and operating separate development and test networks, including network separation, access rights, and controlled data exchange

  • Design and regularly review monitoring, patch management, data backup, and restore procedures with operational IT

  • Provide technical guidance for personnel responsible for operational IT, prioritize and coordinate tasks, and maintain up-to-date system and operations documentation

  • Plan and support IT modernizations and projects from requirements gathering to implementation; prepare investment needs, risks, and technical options for executive decision-making

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or IT training with relevant professional experience (comparable qualifications welcome)

  • Several years of practical experience in enterprise IT operations, administration, and further development

  • Strong knowledge of modern server, network, storage, and virtualization technologies and administration of Windows and Linux environments

  • Experience managing local software and application environments such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence, SAP, or comparable systems

  • Understanding of modern IT security and operations architectures; experience with network segmentation, security zones, and identity/access concepts, including higher-protection environments (e.g., VS)

  • Knowledge of building and operating separated development networks and understanding technical development area requirements

  • Ability to technically lead operational IT and work constructively with central IT, security stakeholders, and business teams while explaining complex topics clearly

  • Independent, responsible, structured work with clear prioritization, careful documentation, and reliable task tracking

  • Very good German and good English (French beneficial)
