Description

As an Application Engineer, you develop and support technical application solutions for biogas plants in the Indian market. You work with customers and partners to capture requirements, advise on pump, shredding, and separation technology, and support projects from early ideas through implementation. The role includes thorough onboarding, international customer contact, and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Advise plant builders, operators, and sales partners in India as a technical point of contact for pump, shredding, and separation technology

• Support the Indian team with technical consulting, project development, and scaling the biogas business

• Select and technically size suitable components based on substrates, feed/handling processes, and operating conditions

• Work with Sales to create technical concepts that support quotation preparation and bring domain knowledge into project discussions

• Coordinate technical interfaces between customers and internal specialist departments

• Support commissioning and application-specific questions during ongoing operations, including on-site when needed

• Train colleagues and partners and contribute project experience to the further development of products and applications

Requirements

• Completed degree in process engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental or agricultural engineering, or a comparable technical qualification

• Experience with biogas plants or process engineering design of plants and components

• Interest in different substrates and operating conditions; ability to evaluate practical usability of technical solutions

• Ability to listen carefully and explain complex relationships clearly

• Independent and meticulous working style with strong motivation for technical exchange in a team

• Enjoyment of cross-country collaboration and openness to different perspectives and ways of working

• Secure English skills and willingness to travel regularly to India (Indian market knowledge is a plus)
