Description

Lead a team responsible for building, launching, and operating AWS Frontier AI services in GovCloud and isolated environments. You’ll define the technical strategy and roadmap, drive secure and reliable delivery, improve resiliency and operational efficiency, and use customer feedback and operational data to manage risks and progress. You will stay technically engaged through architecture/design reviews, operational investigations, and critical customer escalations while partnering across security, infrastructure, product, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and retain high-performing software and systems development engineers

• Establish technical strategy, roadmap, goals, and delivery mechanisms

• Own service delivery and operational performance across GovCloud and isolated environments

• Guide through architecture reviews, design reviews, operational investigations, and escalations

• Partner across engineering, product, security, infrastructure, recruiting, and operations organizations

• Reconcile competing perspectives and drive decisions on complex issues

• Manage priorities, dependencies, staffing, and delivery risks across concurrent initiatives

• Establish mechanisms to improve engineering quality, operational readiness, security, and scalability

• Communicate strategy, status, risks, and decisions clearly to engineers, partners, customers, and senior leaders
